The purpose of this trip is to offer a broad, transversal and as fair view as possible of this Asian country. The soul of Pakistan is its people: generous, noble and extremely kind. If you dare to live this experience, it will undoubtedly change your way of thinking.
WHAT’S THE PLAN?
We will visit the cities and the surroundings of Karachi, Peshawar, Lahore and Rawalpindi, focusing on people and emblematic places: mosques, bazaars, museums, alleys … The cultural and social clash with the countries of the West is striking, and this great difference It is precisely one of the great attractions of Pakistan.
Strolling without hurry and showing an open and respectful attitude towards a different culture and society are the best recipe to capture unforgettable images. Keep in mind that Pakistan is not a tourist country, so hotel and restaurant standards are very different from those in the West. If you are demanding with cleanliness and comfort and you have no adventurous spirit, do not sign up for this trip.
In order to live the experience of traveling through Pakistan, the maximum group is four people.

Day 1 International flight to Karachi.
Day 2 Arrival at Karachi International Airport in the early morning. Taxi transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, we will visit some old buildings from the British Raj: Empress Market, Flag Staff, and Wazir Mansion (home of Ali Jinnah, founder of Pakistan).
Day 3 In the morning, we will visit the bird and other wild and domestic animal market. In the afternoon, if we obtain the necessary permission, we will travel to Gaddani Beach, located 48 km west of Karachi. In the 1980s, it was the largest shipbreaking yard in the world. It currently ranks third.
Day 4 In the morning, we will travel to Chaukundi, located 27 km east of Karachi. Here, there are over 100 mausoleums between one and three meters high. Their history, unknown, dates back to the 13th to 16th centuries. Then we will go to Thatta, 98 km east of Karachi, where we will visit the Makli necropolis and a truck scrapyard. Transfer to Hyderabad. Overnight stay at a hotel.
Day 5 In the morning, we will head towards Uch Sharif. We will stay near these ancient mausoleums.
Day 6 Visit the Sufi mausoleums of Uch Sharif (meaning “high and holy place”), which date back to around 500 BC. In the afternoon, we will head to Multan.
Day 7 We will stroll through the old quarter of Multan and visit the mausoleum of Sheikh Rukn-e-Alam.
Day 8 AIn the morning, transfer to Lahore. After checking in, in the afternoon we will visit the Mughal mausoleum of Jahangir. Then, at sunset, we will visit the Badshahi Mosque. Overnight in Lahore.
Day 9 In the morning, we will visit the Lahore Museum and the zoo, the oldest in Pakistan and a meeting place and leisure spot for Lahore’s middle and upper classes. In the afternoon, we will stroll through the old bazaar and see the Wazir Khan and Sunheri mosques.
Day 10 In the morning, we will visit the train station and the Ali Jinah library. After lunch, we will travel to the Wagah border post to witness the flag ceremony. India and Pakistan, two nations separated since 1947, lower their flags in a festive ceremony charged with intense patriotic feelings. On the way, we will visit a truck workshop where charcoal is also produced. Then we will see a traditional brick factory, where workers mold the clay, dry the bricks, and then stack them in excavated pits to later bake them with charcoal.
Day 11 In the morning, we will visit a migrant camp on the outskirts of Lahore. The purpose of this visit is to raise awareness of how hard life is for the poorest people. Then we will head to Rawalpindi. On the way, we will visit the impressive Rothas Fort, whose walls have a perimeter of 4 km. We will arrive in Rawalpindi at dusk. Transfer to the hotel.
Day 12 In the morning, we will travel to a landfill on the outskirts of Rawalpindi. The purpose of this visit is to see firsthand one of the major problems facing Pakistan and the entire world: waste management, which increasingly consists of plastic. On the way back, we will stroll through the Safra Bazar neighborhood, where we will visit the old Haveli Sujan Singh, dating back to the colonial era. In the afternoon, we will visit a truck workshop where trucks are painted by hand. At sunset, we will stroll through a large esplanade where children play cricket.
Day 13 Transfer to Taxila, the center of ancient Indian civilization. Here we will visit two archaeological sites from the Buddhist era and the museum. On the way back, we will visit a traditional marble factory.
Day 14 On the way to Peshawar, we will visit another traditional brick factory to complement the first one. In the afternoon, we will visit an old British railway station (circa 1850) located in the town of Attock, at the confluence of the Indus and Kabul rivers.
Day 15 In the morning, we will travel to the Buddhist ruins of Taht i Bahi. In the afternoon, we will visit All Saints Church. Nearby, there is a bird market where many people buy birds as pets.
Day 16 In the morning, we will visit the Peshawar Museum, which houses Pakistan’s only collection of Greco-Buddhist (or Gandhara) art. Afterwards, in the old town we will stroll through the ancient bazaar and visit the Muhabat Khan Mosque. In the afternoon we will visit the Ziarat Rahman Baba Sufi shrine, built in the 17th century. Transfer to Rawalpindi.
Day 17 Depending on the flight time, we will spend the morning in Rawalpindi and then transfer to Islamabad International Airport to catch our flight back to Spain.

Personal expenses
This is a cultural trip that requires several hours of walking every day, but does not involve any physical fatigue. However, it is very important to have an adventurous spirit and to know how to adapt to the circumstances of a country totally different from our own.

An advance payment of 25% of the total price of the trip is required.
We recommend booking flights through our partner agency Travel Ponent, so that we can all arrive in Karachi at the same time and on the same plane.
We will book the flights when the minimum group is closed. At that time the second payment for the trip can also be made.
