Trekking and photo safari in Africa

MOUNT KENYA: NATURE, MOUNTAIN AND NIGHT

From 15 to 26 January 2020

Do you love traveling the world with a backpack? This is a trip that brings together the most authentic of the nature and the mountain, in a single proposal. A trip to walk our own path to enjoy the hidden charms of the landscape. We will hike during the day and sleep under the light of millions of stars, we will share the landscape with the flora and wildlife while learning the techniques for achieving a full photographic report

WHAT'S THE PLAN?

We will make a trek that will take us through the varied landscapes that are found on the second highest mountain of the african continent, Mount Kenya. Our tour will take us up to the peak Lenana (4,985 m). During the tour, without technical difficulty, we will be able to observe and photograph a varied and spectacular flora and fauna, in addition to the landscapes and moments of light that we will offer the different points of the route, such as waterfalls, glaciers, lakes and panoramic mountain.

During the trip, in addition, we will learn to make a complete photographic report at the same time that the guidelines for the good practice of nature photography will be given. At the end of the trekwe will make a safari for a few areas around the Mount Kenya to complete our report. We will have the opportunity to see the “Big Five” (lion, leopard, rhino, buffalo and elephant), and some endemic species of this area like the grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe or the lycaon, the carnivore is most scarce in Africa, through our tours on foot, by boat and in adapted vehicles.

Throughout the trek in Mount Kenya, we will have the support of a professional mountain guide local, so that we don’t have to worry about where we’re going. In addition, we have cooks that we will have prepared all of the meals to regain strength in each stage. Finally, each participant will have a porter (loaded with a maximum of 18 kilograms) for us to carry our equipment and food, and thus be able to devote to photography and not drag uphill with a heavy backpack.
